Christina Nielsen Design is a New York-based interior design studio with a distinctly European sensibility. Working across residential and commercial projects in the US and abroad, Christina creates interiors that balance elegance with ease, bringing together antiques, fine craftsmanship, rich textiles and furnishings from different periods to create rooms of enduring character.

Informed by years spent living and working between New York and London, the firm’s work reflects an appreciation for the decorative arts, an instinctive understanding of color and proportion, and a preference for interiors that feel lived in rather than overly arranged. The result is a considered but never precious approach to decorating, where beauty and comfort go hand in hand.

Before founding the firm in 2018, Christina worked in the editorial department at Vogue. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Photography from New York University and a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
